Behind the Scenes

It may appear quiet on the surface, but:

  • In tech news, we're working on Single Sign-On for our various online presences, to make your PHESC training opportunity experiences more seamless
  • Online courses on various topics in epidemiology, intervention planning and implemention, and more are under construction
  • Translation/adaptation of a number of PHESC resources and online courses is underway
  • New webinars, workshops, resources, and even a podcast or two are being planned by PHESC partners

We'll announce these developments again when each is launched. Watch this space!

Webinar - Community Engagement in Public Health

Wednesday 17 April 2019 from 1:00-2:00 pm EDT

Community engagement is a central component of population health interventions. Current evidence suggests that community engagement can improve user satisfaction, lead to more appropriate programs, and increase access to community strengths and resources. The Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion includes “strengthening community action” as one of its five action areas. In this webinar, Lisa Attygalle and Heather Keam will discuss the importance of authentic engagement, how to plan for community engagement and share key strategies, tools and resources for mobilizing the community to collectively work together to achieve your public health goals. This webinar is organized by the Canadian Public Health Association.
