Shana Calixte lives on the ancestral, traditional and unseeded territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek, in the Robinson Huron Treaty territory and is the Manager of Mental Health and Addictions for Public Health, Sudbury & Districts. She leads a multi-disciplinary team to provide upstream mental health promotion programming as well as community initiatives around addictions and opioid use.  Her previous roles included the lead for Mental Health and Addictions at the North East Local Health Integration Network, as well as the Executive Director of NISA / Northern Initiative for Social Action, a peer-run organization located in Sudbury.
