Effective Public Health Practice

The priorities that emerged from PHESC's consultation with Ontario Public Health Units in this Foundational Standard were:

  1. Effective public health practice overall
  2. Design, implementation and evaluation of interventions (programs and policies) and related research
  3. Effective community engagement and partnerships for planning and developing interventions (programs and policies)
  4. Inclusive and effective governance and leadership
  5. Public health ethics

Below is a brief overview of PHESC's planned training offerings and resources in each priority area. We suggest beginning with the overall resources and the design, implementation and evaluation area, but your needs may vary. Subscribe to our newsletter for details about new events and developments!
